Andrew Smith

Andrew travels around the world teaching dance while working as a software developer for Transparent Classroom, helping Montessori teachers focus on children and not paperwork. He nominally lives in Seattle, though even his housemates wonder when they'll get to see him next.

Andrew cares about making a positive impact in the world through dance, software, and sustainability. He was accepted into Hogwarts, as a Gryffindor. He is currently on a leave of absence to bring his magic to Champagne & Emeralds. He loves hugs, bicycles, and dark chocolate. Learn more about his parallel lives in dance and code.

jared requa

Jared's love of connection and dance started at a young age on the hardwood of his Mama's kitchen with a little bit of Donna Summer and some happy feet. Since 2004, he has lindy hopped and blues danced his way over the globe, sharing his love with those who would receive it.

This New Year's, he's excited to bring a bit of lionhearted mischief and moxie to Champagne & Emeralds -- a party that will not soon be forgotten.

Pomona Lake

Pomona started dancing at the age of 15 and was forbidden by her parents to go blues dancing. She snuck out and did it anyway.

She is now an artist / graphic designer / dancer hybrid who focuses on de-gendering partner dance, and is working hard to make it more accessible to queer, trans and low-income folks. Downtime usually consists of cuddling her 3-legged cat and accidentally setting off the smoke alarm in her apartment.

Pomona made our beautiful C&E graphics and generally advised on all things visual.
